Mollertech scoop UES Energy environment award
The Environment Award at the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards 2011, sponsored by UES Energy, was won by Möllertech Ltd of Cwmfelinfach. The company manufactures plastics components for the automotive industry. UES Energy director Gruff Dodd presented the award to plant manager Clayton Harding at the 10th Annual Caerphilly Business Forum Awards, held at the Llancaiach Fawr Manor near Nelson on Friday night (Nov 11th).
Mr Harding was also called upon a few minutes later to receive a special award marking the 10th anniversary of the Caerphilly Business Forum Awards which have become a landmark on the South Wales business calendar. The Finalists’ Achievement award, was only open to past winners and was based on the progress each had made since their first award.
Caerphilly Business Forum Chair and UES Energy Managing Director, Andrew Diplock said it was fitting that the competition this year had been tougher than ever: “It is the 10th anniversary of our awards which is quite an achievement in itself. They’ve continued to go from strength to strength, resulting in this landmark year, in such a diverse and strong entry. The shortlists themselves were truly formidable so the eventual winners have really earned it.
“Looking at themes running through the awards this year it’s clear to see determination and commitment combined with creativity are the hallmarks which have helped these businesses to succeed. I know our winners this year will be a real inspiration to others and I hope that by being active in Caerphilly Business Forum they can help others learn from their success.”
